Hey Joseph, did you ever decide on an early Globe album?

I think I'll choose Cruise Record 1995-2000. I don't know when I'll get it, but I imagine sometime in the coming months. Perhaps when Changin' My Life's new album comes out (which they haven't announced yet).

Perhaps when Changin' My Life's new album comes out (which they haven't announced yet). I don't think it will ever come out It seems to me that Changin' My Life has split up. If you point your browser at their official site: www.toshiba-emi.co.jp/cml/, it goes straight to Myco's solo career website. EDIT: If you have a look on the site, you'll find a message which I believe confirms what I thought.

Ack, why are they doing that?! lol. I'll just have to follow Myco's solo career then. It's regrettable that Myco got a computer virus, btw.
Anyway, I don't know if I could wait that long to get Cruise Record anyway. So I might possibly get Cruise Record along with Dream's new album "ID" which comes out March 10. That's only a "might" though.

Speaking of CML, I am totally addicted to Etoranze.

.Sorry to hear that about CML. Especially if they're one of the groups you like a lot. On a positive note, I'm sure you'll like Cruise Record a lot when you get a chance to order it ;D

Hey Joseph, Since you mentioned that you liked Keiko's single venture, I thought you might enjoy this. I made a wallpaper using the pictures from the KCO launch site (yeah, I actually used their wallpapers to make my own ). Anyway, if you wanna take a look at it, just go here: www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte527z/kcobg.jpg

I've had that background for my desktop for a while now. Could you remind me what Globe song has that phrase, "as long as we live, like leaves blowing in the wind to the last breath"? I only have a limited number of Globe CDs with me at the moment.
BTW Molotov, what do you think of Two-Mix and Megumi Hayashibara? Just wondering.

I actually modified the line on accident... it really goes
As long as we live Shaking In The Wind To The Last Breath...
It's from Many Classic Moments, though, off the Lights album and the Many Classic Moments single.
As for the other two artists... I've previously downloaded some of Two-Mix's music, and I thought it was pretty good. I've actually been considering buying a couple of their albums as soon as I get the money. However, I haven't heard any of Megumi's music.

Richard, Liz and Brad already know this, but in 2000 and 2001, Two-Mix was the only music artist I really listened to. I used to be a Two-Mix 'purist.' I really put Two-Mix on a pedestal. When I first heard them, my music tastes changed forever. I love Two-Mix very much; they're a part of who I am now. I'm fortunate enough to have almost every song Two-Mix has done. JpopHelp.com is a good place to get their CDs. The instrumentation of their songs is very well thought out. My favorite songs by them are Winter Love Express, Eternal Motion, I'll Be There, and Dear My Regret. Today Two-Mix is still my favourite group. (Dream also has been my other favourite group, but I don't know if they will continue to be if their songs are going to keep sounding like this recent mediocre stuff.)
I mention Megumi Hayashibara in the same breath because some of her songs sound kinda like Two-Mix. Whereas Two-Mix has mostly dancey music, Megumi has a variety: fast, slow, serious, silly. She is very expressive in her songs. Her singles over the past few years have been really good. My absolute fave song by her is "Brave Heart", and I adore "Treat or Goblins" too. I have listened to those two songs many, many times. Her album Feel Well (2002) was really excellent, and had a lot of dancey pop songs on it. She released a new album in January called Center Color, and I love it too.
I know that you're like me; that you listen to Jpop, but don't watch a lot of anime. Both Minami Takayama of Two-Mix and Megumi Hayashibara are anime voice actors. Megumi has done a lot of anime opening themes, like ones for Evangelion, Slayers, and Love Hina. Megumi and Minami know each other; they once acted in Ranma together a long time ago. I also have a theory that their music has been a little influenced by each other over the years.

Hmmm... I actually haven't heard any of those songs by Two-Mix. Of the ones I have heard, my favorites were March, Naked Dance, and one of the Rhythm Emotion mixes.
From what you said, I guess I actually have heard some of Megumi Hayashibara's music cuz I have seen Evangelion. I thought the song was pretty good for a while, but I eventually got tired of it. I know I really can't form an opinion off just one song, but if her music is like that, I don't think I'd like it much.
Interesting history about the two singers, though.

Two-Mix and Megumi both have some truly good techno songs. Many of my favorite songs, in these and other groups, are often ones that are not really well-known or popular.
While we're on this topic, can I ask if you've ever heard Dream before? They do dance/trance/pop music, but their singing can be a bit dull. They're not very well-known outside of Japan and Hong Kong. Many people have heard their song "My Will," as it's the ending theme of Inu Yasha. I often feel like I'm the only Dream fan in the country, though I'm aware that Kenji-kun has said he likes Dream too.

I HAVE heard some of Dream's songs before. However, I think most of what I heard came from some Eurobeat remix album or something because all their songs that I heard seemed to be heavy on the Euro sound. To me, eheir sound was just as you described it, a bit dull.
