Move has a new album coming out in March. If you pre-order it on CDJapan, the pre-order bonus is Move's autograph on the CD case.
I'm surprised no one is talking about this.

That's because the fans are kind of lazy lately you know but, about me, I'm very excited for this new album and of course, because of that special case too hohoho.
Can't wait to have it in my hands! ^o^)/

Lately???
It's been nearly a decade since I stopped being a major active contributor to this site, now just popping in once a month or so, and I STILL have the highest post count. I am quite unsure how that remains.
This used to be a very tight-knit community, but as of the past few years, we only come together to say "Oh, there's a new album coming out" and "Right-o."
The core members of this site are now ten years older (or more) than they were when this site started. Technically, we were kids who were interested in something that not many people. were. If I recall, we were all in our late teens, now we're all nearing 30.
Where's Richard? Mystical Sand? All the other people who used to frequent this place? Did they "grow up" and decide they don't like Move afterall? Hell, one of our lot just got a doctorate!
Is that how it is to be?

I still like m.o.v.e but i feel they are loosing reputation as Initial D anime hasn't be release since years. I'm thinking about closing my own website (i mean stop updating it and paying for a a web domain name) because of this. Last year, i still had active people on the board ans there is things to say, now there is no one and only one or two news each months. Maybe their style is too old nowaday, maybe yuri's baby made a dream end for some fan, maybe make them so untouchable since they never get out of japan was making them interesting. Maybe people has grow up...

And I agree with your words Variable but, as for me, I like MOVE today even more than before. Of course, I'd be happy if many other fans would share their thoughts and opinions about the band but, if not, what can we do?... people is like these now-a-days and the music offers are too many to stay loyal to just one band... I think. But whatever, I'll keep being a fan of MOVE no matter what ^_^.

I get what y'all are saying, and that Move isn't the only band out there.
Then again, I've always had a problem with letting go of the past.

*is the aforementioned "LizKat", in case anyone didn't know* I still buy and adore the bejeezus out of everything m.o.v.e does, and I still have every one of their songs on my mp3 player. My love for their music hasn't waned in the slightest over the last ten years. Which, for what it's worth, I was 15 when I first joined WoM and I'm just turning 25 this year. Not quite to 30 yet, haha.
Mostly I just lurk now because I'm ashamed of my piss-poor Japanese and don't like coming out of hiding anymore because I always get asked to translate things and I can't and it's embarrassing. @__@; I can just about barely romanize lyrics, and even then it takes me several days poring over my Nintendo DS's kanji dictionary.
Haven't heard from Richard or Joseph in years. No idea what either of them are doing anymore. molotov, either, although I never actually chatted with him off-site.
ETA: Tracklist is up:
CD: 01. Overture 02. MAYHEM PHILOSOPHY 03. KICKDOWN 04. The World of Prisoners 05. Jasmine 06. X II 07. Shake The Babylon 08. A Thousand Reasons 09. NATIVE SHOUT 10. FLY HIGH 11. Sudden Romance 12. D.C.
DVD: 01. X II music clip m.o.v.e WORLD OF OVERTAKERS TOUR 2011@UNIT 02. GHETTO BLASTER 03. oveRtaKerS 04. The Double Ace 05. Champagne Tower 06. Fly Me So High 07. Gamble Rumble
Also: There are two other albums being released.
One comes out on 2/22 and is called "anim.o.v.e BEST" (I'm sure most of you are totally excited, lol). It's mostly a compilation of songs from the three anim.o.v.e albums, but two of the tracks are new - "daia no hana" and "GO Tight!" The DVD version includes the PV for "LOVE SHOWER", the Schwarzgazer comic with Lily and Mosh, and three clips from the WORLD OF OVERTAKERS tour: "Uninstall", "yasashisa to setsunasa to kokoro tsuyosa to" and "DOGFIGHT (Dogma Fight "Gothic Version 2011").
The other actually just came out on 2/8, it looks like, and it's called "m.o.v.e B-SIDE BEST" and is a compilation of, shocker, a bunch of their B-Side singles (and/or album-only songs that weren't singles). XD; Absolutely no new content to be had here, but if you're a collector, there you go.
Much as I'd like to own every single album they do, right away, my money's going to XII right now and these ones'll have to wait. XD;

Oh sorry, I forgot you went by MS here.
I'm 29, I think Joe and Molotov are too.
I speak to Joe quite regularly (near daily, heck, even flew out to AZ to hang out with him and watch a concert some time ago) and Molotov semi-regularly (once every three months or so). Molotov is the one who just got a doctorate. I tried reading his dissertation, it was great, but crazy. Of all the "old guard" the only ones I never hear from are you and Richard.
That means he's Dr. Molotov now.
That said, I heard about the B-Side collection and figure it's just the "other" songs from the singles, commonly known as a B-Side (in vinyl record parlance).
There's been a few rare instances where a single would be called a "Double A-Side." But I don't think Move has done any of those. I looked at the tracklist and saw that Passenger Seat was one of the songs. It was the B-Side to Future Breeze. I actually enjoyed it far more than the A-Side track.
I think it's a bad idea to make a best of album for Animove right now, they've only got 3 albums of that out. I'd wait until they had at least five.

Spike: Thanks for the vids!
Variable: Yeah, the age gap was a lot larger when I was 16 and you guys were 20.
I still post here as frequently as anyone else who still posts here... *shrugs* I never left. As for the rest it sounds like you already speak to most of the oldbies so maybe ask them why they left the forum?
Dr. Molotov and Dr. Kim, heh.
And yeah, I tried to say that about the B-side album; guess it was unclear. In any case, none of the songs are new (unless they edited them for the album, but I don't see anything in the notes indicating that, so I'd assume they're unaltered). Just an assortment from across all the years they've been making music.
As for the anim.o.v.e thing, I can only assume it's just because they wanted something else special to do for this 12th anniversary, since they're making a big thing out of it. Plus now if people want to hear the "best of" anim.o.v.e they can do so without buying all three separate albums, I guess. And they're trying to suck me in with those two new songs but my wallet ain't having it.

I know I should know who Dr. Kim is but I just can't think of it at the moment. It's not one of T-Kimura's stage names is it?
True, age gap seemed like a lot at 16/20, but now, 25/29, it's totally not. We should talk, hang out, something. I hate having friends that I used to know.
If I recall, Richard was around your age, right?
It's not the 12th anniversary, it's the 15th, it's only the 12th album. I had to check my copy of Rock It Down (I got the single of it a while back for them to autograph if I ever got the chance to meet them). It says 10.1.97 on it.
I like it when a band comes out with a best of album and I already have all their albums, I can just make a mix CD that contains all the songs they think are the best and then add the ones I think are the best to it.
Though, I did just pick up the Rammstein best album, I really liked "Mein Land" and it isn't available anywhere else.
I keep checking Move's website and it keeps saying the tour page will be updated eventually. I doubt they'll come here.

Did somebody say my name? ? Hello!~ I last posted a message on April 21, 2011 (in the Around the World forum). That's not that long ago, and it's still the most recent post in that forum! Mystical, how've you been??? Honestly, I miss talking with you, but I know you like to be very, very private so I haven't tried to contact you recently. But I would like to catch up with you. I don't listen to Move as much anymore. They changed genres too abruptly for me some years ago, and I just haven't gotten back into it. However, if someone tells me to listen to a certain Move song, I'd certainly willing to be persuaded. Nowadays, I'm more into Ali Project (Variable can attest that I sometimes harp on them too much, lol). But let me say this - getting each new Ali Project single and album is the most important musical points in my life. The type of music they release is more consistent in genre - emphatically Neo-classical darkwave. And I've liked in this genre since high school, well before I ever heard of Ali Project. Whereas Move is more hit-and-miss regarding things I like. You never know what they're going to do next, and that's sometimes a negative thing for me. I used to subscribe to Napster, but since they got bought out, I now use no music services and don't listen to the radio, so I'm less hip about finding new music, unfortunately. However, I have bought music from multiple different groups in the past year whose music I haven't bought before. Plus, Variable has given me quite a bit of music, too. Thanks to him. In the future, I'm probably going to listen to Enka more and more because it's like Jpop, but more geared towards older adult tastes.
