Variable: Yes, Dr. Kim was (is?) one of T-Kimura's stage names.
I'm not saying any more about that here; if I really need to go over this again we can talk about it via PMs.
I think Richard was a couple years older than me; he went to college before I did.
Definitely does not feel like it's been more than 2 years since I was over there for the 10th year anniversary tour, but I guess it has. Dang.
Yeah, the lives page is still under construction, and I don't know what's going to show up under that key graphic...
Joseph: Yeaaaah, the forum's been pretty slow/dead these days.
I've been all right. Fighting with the economy trying to hold down a job. Majoring in Japanese with no real reason beyond "it'll be fun" was a mistake I'll probably regret for a good long time. I've been doing administrative assistant work since I graduated. I'm sorry I gave you the impression that I'm some sort of super secretive person. Crap went down several years ago and I withdrew to protect myself. But again; drama that has no place on the public side of the forum, so if you want to discuss it, feel free to take it to PMs. How're you, aside from the whole music scene-change bit?
Ah, Enka. I know of Enka, although my learning about it came about rather funnily. Do you know of Jero? He's an American alumni of the Japanese university where I studied abroad, and while I was there he came back to visit some of his friends and professors and the staff, and it caused a big to-do, because apparently he's now a famous Enka singer!

He is. He is totally into Ali Project. If you're into Neo-Classical Darkwave, you should totally check out Aural Vampire. You know Muzie has a whole section devoted to Enka, I've never listened to it though. As for why we left? Dunno, I'd say it had as much to do with everyone else not posting a whole lot, if you notice I at least come back once a month or so to see if any new posts have been made. Oh, I received a proof copy of the print edition of Meeting on the Planet, you know, the book I wrote way back in 2003 that used the Move board as the basis of the beginning of the story (okay, maybe you don't). I caught an error or two in the proof, so I have to re-edit the thing. I find it funny that I changed Move to a band from Sweden and now Richard's probably going to actually see Move in Sweden. I'd write more, but I'm tired and have had a sore throat all day. EDIT: Oh, didn't see this had a page 2. You know, Mystical, if you're studying Japanese in University, that would really help out in a thing like the JET Programme, they take 3000 or so people every year to go teach English in Japan for a year or more. Knowing Japanese can really help you in that. Here's something about Jero: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JeroI'd really like to hear his stuff.

Just pre-ordered XII yesterday from CD-Japan!! I was going to get anim.o.v.e. best as well, but I found a SyNERGy LP about 3 weeks ago and bought that instead. I haven't been posting recently because I lost the internet at my house in November and have to go somewhere else to get internet now. By the way the key on move's page will eventually be a member page, and I'm surprised that the tour to Sweden isn't on the live page. Also I wonder if when you buy B-SIDE BEST if it will come with any album art?
@ Mystical Sand I didn't know that the Nintendo DS's had a kanji dictionary?
@ Spike Thanks for the videos!!

Thanks for the info on the Kanji Dictionary for the DS, though for the price, I think I will continue using the Kanji draw function in MS Word and www.romaji.org/. For the pre-order bonuses On CD-Japan they have 8 left for the CD version @ 3000 JPY, and 10 left for the CD+DVD @ 3800 JPY.

Variable - I already listen to Aural Vampire. Isn't T-Kimura part of that? He's RAVEMAN, isn't he? Just wears a bunch of full-head masks all the time...
Ah Christ, I'm not in the book am I? @__@
I know of the JET Programme; half the people I graduated with are in it right now. Thing is I don't actually want to do anything with the degree now that I have it. I picked Japanese because I couldn't think of anything better, because I didn't know what I wanted to do for a living and still don't. I know it's not teaching, though. Would never have the patience for it.
spotz - That dictionary Variable linked is the one I have, yeah. I bought it when I was abroad because the DS + that was cheaper than buying an actual electronic dictionary, and I desperately needed a portable dictionary over there. XD The program itself was definitely cheaper over there than it is on eBay, though.
Thanks for the info about the key link. I figured it was probably something like that, but I still had kind of hoped it wouldn't be. Ah well.

Yes, T-Kimura is RAVEMAN, I always thought it was kind of odd that TK left Move as a front member to spend more time with his family, and then he turns around and joins/forms Aural Vampire. Ah well, whatever. If it's what he likes doing.
Technically the Move board exists in the first 26 pages, the first two chapters (of a book that has 64 chapters and 347 pages). It acts as the impetus to get the main character out of the house that he's been holed up in for a week or so and out into the world where the story really starts. After that point, the band or the site aren't mentioned again.
Characters based on you, Richard, and Joe exist, but names and other things are changed. Since you guys only exist in a few pages, there's not much characterization. I think Richard and Joe's fictional selves have the most as at one point I was thinking of expanding the story to feature them more, but didn't. I had considered a sequel, but in the years since first writing this thing, I've not come up with any ideas for one.
There's a bit of editing needing to be done on this thing so it'll be a while before it's released it to the masses.
I've been trying to join the JET Programme or a similar one for the past few years. I've been teaching for the past few years, I'd really like to change my game and try it in Japan or South Korea or somewhere that's not here for a while.
I ordered that DS kanji dictionary a few days ago, hasn't got here yet. Is it any good?
I'm gonna go play To The Moon for a while.

Mystical: I've been doing fine as well. I still have the same job as before: online university tech support, and at the end of this month, I will have been there SEVEN years! Holding on to a job that long is rare these days. Even both my parents have been at their current jobs shorter than me. And I don't have a desire to look for another job because this one doesn't require paperwork and allows for lots of websurfing between calls, lol. Have you kept in touch with my cousin, Erica Ward? She is still teaching in Kuji, Japan. I've never heard of Jero. But I am slowly building my Enka collection and will sample some Jero songs! Here is the Enka single I just bought, sung by Fuyumi Sakamoto, who has been singing for 25+ years: We have Enka or folk singers come to town during our local Matsuri, which coincidentally, is next weekend. Speaking of American Japanese singers, there's a Jpop singer who lives in the same town as me. Her name is Kylee ( www.kylee.jp/index.html) and she's a real life Hannah Montana. She goes to high school here in Arizona, but when traveling to Japan, she's a pop star! The only thing is, the commute is very long! Lol. Variable: I love Aural Vampire, too. And if anyone likes Aural Vampire, I'd recommend Kaya, which is symphonic trance somewhere along the lines of Versailles and Moi Dix Mois.

I like Versailles and Moi Dix Mois.
I've been fighting some kinda bad cold or something this week, but I feel better today than I did yesterday. That's the way things go.
Why does the J-Pop singer go to school in Arizona of all places?

Kylee goes to school in Arizona because she's an Arizona native (grew up here). She is American, but has family ties to Japan through her mom. Here is the article on her: gogilbert.com/issues/2011jul/#/32/Edit: In the latest Kaya single Vampire Requiem, Hizaki from Versailles has provided the music and guitar.

And thus, has music come full circle.
EDIT: Didn't want to double post, but I got that translation game thing for the DS today in the mail. Haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.
Do you know of any good guide sites for it?
