If you've watched any MOVE mv's (or all) of them, do you think that the videos and songs don't really make sense together? For example, SUPER SONIC DANCE. The beginning sounds like the opening of a soccer game or something, doesn't it? Motsu's the only one dancing, Yuri's lying in grass, T-Kimura's lifeless as usual xD
The DISCO TIME video, shouldn't it be all....1970s? Instead it's about Motsu's bad driving?
The FREAKY PLANET video, wouldn't it make more sense if it was shot on a green screen with Mars in the background and aliens and stuff?
The RAIMEI -out of kontrol- video wasn't wonderful either, in my opinion. You hear the screeching of tires as they turn more than the singing xD
The ANGEL EYES video kind of made sense, since the beat is more on a Ito Yuna kinda styled beat.
The HOW TO SEE YOU AGAIN video....it was strange, wasn't it...
DOGFIGHT is cool, but ....yea.
Getting off topic.....does anyone in here think that VENUS IN PARADISE is way too long??

Yes, Venus in Paradise is indeed long.
And yes, Move vids are non sequitors.
Give me a few hours. I'm tired.

It's been my experience that a lot of Japanese videos seem to have little to nothing to do with the song itself. Although, the same can be said for some English vids, too, but I don't watch as many of those, so my judgment is a bit skewed. Venus In Paradise, Come Together, USA, SAIL AWAY... they're all rather long. I like them, though... Also... YAY I CAN READ YOUR SIG, wahahahaha. Ha. Although I have to ask this because I'm a geek - how come "razuberii" is in hiragana?

Someone once said that Move songs were long because T-Kimura got bored easily. Though, there are some songs that also have a "radio size version" because of length matters. Of course, these songs also tend to tip the scales as being "too long."
TK's track on iFUTURELIST is 7.4 minutes long, and the singer doesn't actually start singing until about the 3 minute mark. So, TK took a 4 minute song and just made it longer.
It gets annoying.

Well, the way I see it, T-Kimura's just trying to show off his mad instrumental skillz. You don't hear it during songs unless you really pay attention behind the singing; the vocalists kind of take the front seat. So by having really long tracks, TK gets to have his time in the spotlight. Whether that's really his reasoning or not, I don't know, but it's kind of a waste of talent if nobody ever hears what you do, right?

Yeha, I don't think it's about TK being "bored." Most of the really long songs are actually off of the Synergy album, and the techno-trance style of theat album sort of goes hand-in-hand with long songs. That's kind of just how it's always been. (The same could be said of Sail Away). And they've always had some kind of electronica influence, so I don't think it's really all that strange for them to have long songs.

I just started trying my hand at making an IDM song, and it's going okay, it just doesn't sound good. Come to think of it, none of the songs I've ever heard in this genre are "good." I was just hoping to "break the cycle."
The one I've been working on is alright, I guess. IDM stands for Intelligent Dance Music. Near as I can tell it's mostly a bunch of sounds and drums.
Actually, that has nothing to do with Move song length.

You can find most of them at youtube.com. It's easiest to search them by song name, since "move" is a pretty common word. :)

Well, youtube is the easiest if you want to get at them quickly. I'm not really allowed to endorse downloading them off of things like mIRC or Limewire. :P The best quality, of course, is if you buy the DVDs. The two most common shops I know of online for that are: www.cdjapan.co.jpand www.yesasia.comI personally prefer cdjapan, but a lot of people think I ought to convert to yesasia. XD;
