Yes, I'm still posting reviews of CDs from my recent order . This time, it's Misia's Kiss In The Sky. A few months ago, I had ordered her Remix version of this CD since I was already familiar with it and enjoyed it a lot. The remix version has actually become one of my favorite CDs that I own. Now, from that CD I knew she made good music. But from this original CD, I simply cannot believe how well she can sing. She has such a rich voice that can deftly handle any tone. And it's silky smooth, too. She really has one of the best singing voices I've ever heard. As far as the style goes, it's pretty much what I expected. Namely, more "adult" contemporary music, with not too much excess hype put in (i.e. expect a lot of ballads). Sometimes, the tracks even seem to have a jazz influence. There are some dance tracks and even R&B tracks as well, though, which really make the album pretty dynamic. One of the interesting things about this album is that she worked very closely with one of the guys from B'z on this one. (I personally haven't heard any of their music, but supposedly his influence shows through on the album.) So, if you're looking for some music by someone who can just flat-out sing like nobody's business, you should check out this album or any other song by Misia. My favorites: Fly Away, Destiny's Rule, nemurenu yoru wa kimi no sei, Don't Stop Music!, and Shining Star.
