Joseph, If you get chance, please would you have a look and find out if they ship abroad? I'm going to buy all of these if I can! ;D ;D Richard.

The site's sortof confusing. I think you use Avex customer loyalty points to buy things. BTW, as expected I'm not translating the user agreement; it's like 20 pages, lol.

I tried buying a move T-shirt and some day after tomorrow stuff from them before, but you have to be a member of the avex point club, and you can only become a member if you live in Japan since they ask for your prefecture. The "United States of America" prefecture wasn't on the list, unfortunately.

YOSHIIIiiii!!!! ;D ;D ;D I just became an avex point club member!!! ...But before you get your hopes up, it's still not possible for me to order stuff, because I gave them the address and phone number to some Japanese bar or something! But, at least now I have access to exclusive downloads and official BBSs.

I'm an Avex point member too and so is Richard. I have 205 pts. How did you become one? The same way I did, by giving them false information? If there's another way, I would like to know, because it would be nice to be a "legitimate" member. How does one become a point member? It's pretty much impossible if you don't know Japanese, but if you do, go to the site Richard posted; there should be something there about how to register.

To become a member:1. Go to cavex.avexnet.or.jp/ and register with a user name, password, gender, birthdate, address, etc etc. Use a translator like Altavista if you need. 2. Buy any one of these point club products, in the original Japanese version (the Overseas version doesn't have points). Click the drop-down listbox at the top of the screen to see different months releases, which go as far back as March. cavex.avexnet.or.jp/point2003/potuselist.jsp?bmUID=10691251994903. When you receive any of the product(s), they should include a sheet inside that says the Avex point serial number. Use this along with the product code which is on the back of the CD (e.g. AVCT-10134 for Decadance). 3. Add Avex points to your account by clicking the icon with a bag that has a 'P' on it. Input the aforementioned product code and point serial number. Then click "Tsugi e" (next). 4. Answer a questionnaire about the product such as where you first heard about it, where you got your information from, where you bought it, why you bought it, etc, and your birthdate. Then click submit (or "soushin" or whatever). It will adds points to your total. Avex was dumb in making registry at this site so country-limited. Doesn't Avex care about its overseas fans? After all, the world wide web is by nature international. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Adam, yes I registered just like you did. I gave them accurate information when I could. Richard did basically the same thing. I gave them my real address. But I had to say I live in Tokyo prefecture (I think), and my phone number is wrong too.

But is there any "point" in redeeming points (pun intended)? Since we didn't give them our correct addresses, they won't be able to send us the items we spend the points on.

Sheesh, I'm not a miracle worker. If you don't see any point in joining up, don't. Me, it makes me feel more part of the Avex musical world. Also they have music news and artist profiles which I need.
I'm thinking if there's absolutely no way we can work this out, we might as well hand over our accounts to Japanese people. So maybe at least someone can get some use out of our points. I don't plan on doing this in the near future though.

You should've read that. And I should've too. Near the middle of the page, it says (loosely translated): "All of the information you give must be correct, or Avex, inc. reserves the right to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. If you are outside of Japan, you will be extradited." I don't know what law we're breaking; I couldn't read that particular kanji. ...just kidding!
