If you don't like it so, why don't you just turn it off and do something else instead of continuing to play it? I have an idea! Why don't square try and come up with a NEW, ORIGINAL AND GOOD game which isn't final fantasy... They have become way too dependent on that one game.

On the FFX-2 front: I rented it from Blockbuster after listening to my friends talk about it for a week. Kept it for five days and got all the way up to YunaPalooza. So far: I love that friggin' game to death. XD And I'm a girl. Somehow, the girly-ness aspect doesn't bother me half as much as I thought it would - I'm not usually into the whole pink, giggly, girl-power whateveryouwannacallit, but so far that I've seen, I don't think it's bad.
Then again, I've gotten pretty good at not taking things at face value. I think maybe I'm ignoring the girly-girl aspect of the game and pulling the plot out, the same way that when I watch (JAPANESE) Yu-Gi-Oh, I ignore the card game and focus on the plot.
On Final Fantasy in general: To each his own. Personally, I've played VII, VIII, IX, X, and part of X-2, and so far, IX is my favorite. Loved the characters, loved the plot (although the final boss came out of nowhere o.O;;; ), loved the music... A lot of people get all pissy at me and are like, "How can you like 9 better than 7?!" Uh... because I do? And besides which, it was the first FF that I ever played - I have sentimental attachment to it.
On Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle: I haven't seen it; and I don't think I will, just because I wasn't even really fond of the first one. It didn't do anything for me.
And last but not least: Richard, they're probably dependent on that game because it's had so much success for them. Admittedly, it's overkill now, but you know what? It's still selling. And as long as it keeps selling, Square's going to keep producing new ones. They had Kingdom Hearts (and soon-ish, KH2) and, yeah, it had FF characters in it, but it was quite the original plotline, had no turn-based battles, and managed to make Disney not so... kid-ish? I don't know. Again, to each his own. I'm not telling you to like Final Fantasy; I'm just putting my two-cents in. ^^;

I agree with Richard. How about an update to the Bushido Blade series, eh, Square-Enix?
For me, I'm not a fan of turn-based RPG games. Although the turn-based concept is eliminated, it left a bitter taste in my mouth long enough for me to ignore the genre completely. And to think it spawned from the D&D series ... once a game for geeks (no offense to any here). There ... out of my system. Don't get all judgemental on me, please.
Onto the Final Fantasy series ... as I followed the news of new releases of games lately, I've noticed that Square-Enix converted Final Fantasy XI to a MMORPG game. IMO they should've given it an alternate title instead of their traditional numbering system if they were to mess around with gameplay. It worked for (for example) Star Wars games (obviously since they're based on movies).

I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy. Don't really like RPGs much. I'm more of a platformer/action/adventure person. The studio that I'm following is Insomniac, who made Ratchet & Clank. Whatever they'll be doing next, I'll keep an eye on. A similar studio would be Naughty Dog. Because, especially recently, Ratchet & Clank seems to have become the brother game to Jak & Daxter.

That goes to...DOA 2! hides behind a shield composed of good storylines to protect himself from all the FF fan's flames.
