So, usually, when I ask these things, I don't get much of a response, but here's to hoping this time's different.
I'm thinking of getting a couple CD's I'm unsure of. The first is SMAP's Sample Bang! I've never even heard a single song by SMAP, but I usually am interested in things that seem to be of some importance in Jpop, so I'm thinking of picking this up. Can someone tell me what SMAP's sound is like, though? What genre, etc.?
The second is Ryohei Yamamoto's album Take Over. I've only heard him singing as part of a collaboration with someone else. Does anyone know what his solo album is like? Would you recommend it?

Well..this has been truely outdated, but just in case you haven't yet got their cd or maybe this will help others too. I do not recommend this so call SMAP. They are just a bunch of girls. Their songs are average and albums are stuffed with fillers. I would rather listen to the overrated Boa than them. If you want a good girl band, get Yellow Generation.
Two albums out, one new single= Dual 1)Carpe Diem 2)Life Sized Portrait
