So it says that the site has been moved (the one with the move discography, etc.) - and I can't find it. And also, nobody's been posting anything! The last post was over 3 days ago! Anyone know of any move info? Or when move is going to make a remix album of GRID?

Haha. Ratbag, we can't really discuss any Move news if nothing's been announced by Avex . Kinda have to wait for there to BE news before it can be discussed. As for the remix album, I think there prolly won't be one. Remix albums seem not to be as popular in Japan anymore as they once were. (Examples: Move still hasn't come out with a reix album to Boulder, Ayumi never had a remix album for My Story (I don't count Classical, that's part of a different thing she does), M-Flo's last remix album obviously didn't have the same amount of time and effort spent on it as their other ones, Misia hasn't released a remix album for her past two albums). And those are only the examples that I know of where the artists used to be pretty big about remixes. Maybe they still will do one for Grid, but I'm kind of doubting it right now. Actually, what I'm wondering right now is what ever happened with that rumor that T Kimura was gonna release another album under the Orbitribe name? That was months ago that I remember first reading about it here.

Ratbag is right though, this forum has really sunk in the past year. There used to be several new topics and posts every day, sometimes discussion would be jumping and rose colored doo-dads would fly wit htheir wings of steel.

I just thought of something - move did the remix album (Fast Forward) with Decadance and Deep Calm, right? So maybe move will do a remix album with Boulder and GRID. But that could have been a one-time-thing.

Yeah, but Decadance was a mini-album, not a full album, so they may have been putting it off until they had more material. But your idea could still be right; in fact, I actualy hope you are ;D. I just don't think that remix albums are as important to Japanese artists as they once were.

another cd like super tune would be cool. i <3 that cd.
the only problem is that there was a huge difference in yuris voice between the original and remix recordings of the songs on super tune and if they were to redo some of their newer songs theyd sound the same.
what would be a really cool idea is if they use the same instrumental track but completely redo the vocal tracks, so the songs have a diffrerent yet familiar tune to them.

Geez, I thought move would keep going with the remix stuff (instrumentals don't count!). After move released Deep Calm, it was roughly 4-5 months until Fast Forward was completed... so I guess we'll have to wait until around May/June and see if a remix album is released. But if they decide not to do a remix album, I'd love for them to record one of their live performances and put it on a CD, not DVD - but both would be nice!

hmm... i mean a remix album is good and all, but if it is rushed like the fastfoward album... i rather wait a while before they release it. Besides... remix album usually have a theme... i dont see a theme in recent albums.

Surprisingly, I've only seen one group do that- M-Flo. And they only made one live album. (They've released two original albums and 3 remix albums since then, plus a greatest hits collection- so you can se how it wasn't a normal thing for them). Maybe live albums don't do so well in the Japanese market for some reason. Heck, do they even do that well in the American music industry? I can't think of the last time that anyone I know bought a live album. Might be cool. Might not be. Remember: with studio recordings, they can make the singers sound better than they may actually be in person. Oh wait... I actually also HAVE a live 2-disc set from Joujouka... but they're more along the lines of a DJ unit, so it's not a pop group. And live performances are kinda the bread-and-butter of DJs.

I bought Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium... (rage against the machine) and Live in Japan (do as infinity) Can't they take the original live recording, bring it back to the studio, and clean it up a little bit? I'd still buy it even if it wasn't cleaned up though. And does anyone know how many albums/singles move has sold?

If you've got enough understanding of Japanese, you can probably get that kind of information from the Oricon data. (www.oricon.co.jp). Other than that, I'm not sure how you would find out. (Keep in mind that Oricon is only going to report sales within Japan.)

Hmm.. all I found on the Oricon site is that worlds of the mind is the best selling album, but it never says anything about the number of CD's sold... maybe I should look more carefully?
