Okay, this is totally not related to anything, but I just feel like sharing my excitement with the general populace of this board, so here it is: Today, I got my acceptance letter to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, to begin the Fall 2005 semester in their Japanese Language and Literature program! I'm ridiculously happy... I was so worried waiting for this letter, even though I was also accepted to SUNY-Albany; UMass was my first choice school and I'm beyond relieved to have gotten in. ^^; So there we go. Also, I've been 18 for two days, just to throw that in there. So I'm catching up to some of the older Move fans, haha.

Congratulations, Liz! I wish you the very best as you start your college career! You're really that interested in learning the Japanese language?

Thanks. ^^
Yes, I'm that interested, haha. I also don't really have much for other choices. I know my strength, and my strength is language. I'm hopeless at math and science, and I'm only halfway decent at history. If Japanese, god forbid, doesn't work out, then I'll probably end up majoring in English, since I speak it, Spanish, since I've taken five semesters of it already, or Accounting, because it would make my mother happy.
To be truthful, I don't even know what I plan to do with the Japanese major. I've never been great at looking that far into the future. I figure, Japanese is what I want to do, so that's what I'm going to do, and then I'll worry about my career when the time comes. Maybe not the most mature or responsible idea, but it's all I can come up with. I would spend the rest of my life playing the 'what if' game if I didn't at least TRY this.
It's a little scary, though.
