Hello... Don't really know if it's the right place to post this but I just wanted to say hi and meet you all wonderful people! ^_^
I'm new in this forum but I love move a lot and I've liked them for many years now (don't really remember how many lol). I hope I can be friends with you all and have fun. ^^
About "new" works I like Decadence and Deep Calm a lot, not to mention Ghetto Blaster which is a cool song! However, I used to like their previous work more than the newest. In fact, when I first heard the new songs I didn't like them too much, but after listening to them more times I started to appreciate their coolness...
Anyway, thanks for reading this and nice to meet you all. ^^
Reiko.

Welcome~ (I like the image in your sig., btw ^_^d)
I've noticed the same thing with their newer works. I like them all, but they have to grow on me first. But that's one of the reasons I like Move so much - they've yet to produce a song that I haven't come to love. ^^V

"Welcome~ (I like the image in your sig., btw ^_^d)" Thanks! That's one of my favorite group pics, lol. ^_^ And I joined it together with one of my favorite phrases from move's songs... ^_^ I'm glad you like it too. ^^ "I've noticed the same thing with their newer works. I like them all, but they have to grow on me first." Yes! For example, when I first listened to Deep Calm, all of the songs sounded as equal to me... (except maybe Runaway which starts in a complete different way... ^_^). But then I started listening to it more times and now I can tell which song is which and I even love many of them!! I do believe though that there have been some changes that tend to make their newers songs less enjoyable than the older ones... For example, Yuri's new voice is not completely of my taste. And there are some tracks in which Motsu's rap is not too noticeable, at least not as noticeable as it is, for example, in "Venus in Paradise". Of course, this happens only in a few of their new works... Which doesn't stop me from liking them but just makes me wish, for example, that Motsu sang more, since that's one of the main characteristics that makes Move music so cool. ^^ "But that's one of the reasons I like Move so much - they've yet to produce a song that I haven't come to love. ^^V" Oh yes! Definitely... It's incredible how there are songs that made me think "OMG, I'll never like this song! It's so different!" And then I find myself thinking about it, having it in my mind, and loving it after all... Even though I can hardly understand most of the songs, which lyrics I don't usually read... Thanks for your kind reply. Nice to meet you! ^_^

Nice to meet you, too. ^^
Move's music may have been the thing that sort of pushed me over the edge, so to speak, into my interest in Japan. I had been watching anime prior to hearing them, but they're my absolute favorite band now, and I would like so much to be able to understand their songs. That's part of the reason I want to major in Japanese. ^^; The other big reason is that I just like languages in general, but that's entirely irrelevant. >.>;
I remember I was so freaked-out when the "Deep Calm" album came in the mail... it was my first store-bought full Move album, and I was so psyched, but I was nervous, too, because I worried that I wouldn't like their new style as much. I heard it and my first thought when I got through all 14 songs was, "Wow..." And then I put it on repeat. ^^;;;
Probably the best aspect of it all, though, is that you don't NEED to understand it to like it. You can just tell it's good. <3

"Move's music may have been the thing that sort of pushed me over the edge, so to speak, into my interest in Japan. I had been watching anime prior to hearing them, but they're my absolute favorite band now,"
Yeah, that's something like what happened to me. I started liking anime on 1998 (when I was about 11 or 12 years old), and then I came to live to the city I'm now, and that way I was able to buy, and watch many other series. I started to know the series Weiss Kreuz and my sister and I started liking the seiyuus and then we discovered Initial D in which we have not only Seki Tomokazu (who I like) but also Miki Shinichirou (who my sister likes) as the main characters. And then we started listening to Move's music and since all the Initial D music is so gorgeous (in my opinion), we didn't quite pay much attention to Move individually. And then, a moment in Initial D stage one came in which I couldn't avoid realizing how wonderful Move is. There is this scene in which Takumi comes back from work or school in the afternoon and he realizes 86 is quite dirty because of the battle that happened the night before. And so, with the typical yellow sunlight that you have at the end of the afternoon, he started cleaning it up and washing it and that moment represents like "the" moment in which Takumi show's he's grown up, he's more mature, he really likes running and he "does" care for the car. And all that beautiful moments in the series are put together with Move's WONDERFUL song: Past Days. And so, I HAD to look at the episode credits and see the band's name. And from that moment on I started loving Move. Then we found some of its music and then all started. I have to confess some childish thoughts, though. When I first started liking them I had this love-hate relation with them 'cause I wasn't able to sing their songs (specially Motsu's rap part which is the coolest and the hardest) and so I started "hating" them, but then I had to accept I really love them (besides I can sing their songs now, lol). But well, that's my kind of boring story with Move... ^^U
"and I would like so much to be able to understand their songs. That's part of the reason I want to major in Japanese. ^^; The other big reason is that I just like languages in general, but that's entirely irrelevant. >.>;"
Well, it would be just wonderful to completely understand japanese and then understand MANY things: songs, the electropica's blog, anime series, web pages, etc... The problem for me is that I'm too lazy to study japanese on my own, and that I there is no good place to learn it as a hobby... (there is in my country's capital but that's a little too far for me ^^U).
Fortunately, and thanks to Motsu there are some big parts in english which allow us to understand, at least part of what the song is about (not to mention all the song titles...). ^_^
"I remember I was so freaked-out when the "Deep Calm" album came in the mail... it was my first store-bought full Move album, and I was so psyched, but I was nervous, too, because I worried that I wouldn't like their new style as much. Yeah, well, back to the main topic. When I first heard it I, as said previously, couldn't even tell the difference from one song to the other. But then I heard it some more times and started to realize how wonderful EACH song is. I absolutely can't believe I thought I wouldn't like the disc and the new style when I first heard it, 'cause now I like it so much! ^^U
"Probably the best aspect of it all, though, is that you don't NEED to understand it to like it. You can just tell it's good. <3 "
I guess that's what the great combination these 3 people (+ their band) accomplishes. The music, together with the rythm, the voices and the way of singing (specially Motsu's, 'cause I have to confess I don't like Yuri that much... ^^U) makes the songs cool and make you "feel" the coolness and liking them, loving them or fainting for them even though you don't particularly know what they are saying. ^^U
Thanks again for the nice replies. ^^
