Hi to whoever might read this. I don't know why I am writing this. Perhaps it is just my fond memory of this place.
My name is Gav. My user name is Gav on this board, but I lost access to that account. I joined this board 12 (since 2004) years back because this was the only board that was dedicated to move (m.o.v.e whatever) at the time. I even suggested a review section on this board, pure minds!
This was a great place for me in terms of music discover and frankly, felt like I belong. I remember talking to Molotov889 about how awesome Globe is and how Richard recommended me daft punk around when Freaky planet released. I remember reading how much knowledge MysticSand and Joseph had on jpop and move in general. I was just a teenager then and how, 12 years later this board still exist.
There really isnt any point to this post. i suppose at one point, it felt like everyone in this board was family, kinda. Looking back, seems odd that everything went poof, with disbanding of move and before that, lack luster music (IMO, jpop anime cover isnt my thing).
Just having nostalgia i suppose. How is everyone doing in their lives?
Again, thanks for all the memories guys. 12 years later (being an actual adult and all) and I still look back when I first joined. =] Cheers!

I started listening to m.o.v.e about 2004. A girl I liked in college - not reciprocated, now completely lost touch with - recommended some songs (Rage Your Dream), and that's what started it.
They were with me throughout my 20's, which had a lot of ups and downs. I did a PhD in math - it was an incredible experience, so much fun and new friends, but also so much work and stress. I didn't have a lot of direction from my advisors and had to forge my own path in many ways. There was a lot of existential anxiety and an everyday struggle to maintain some kind of coherent direction and make progress. The universe often seemed to feel uncaring about my inner struggles.
I worked at that for six years. I ran a lot to burn off the stress, and I played a lot of m.o.v.e on my ipod nano during those workouts. m.o.v.e was always there for me.
I think m.o.v.e represented for me an ideal state, exuberant and free from all the dark forces that hold back our potential. They made music in many styles over the years, but there was a core of consistency to the sound, especially from 1998 to 2006. m.o.v.e music has always had a sense of urgency and drive, but balanced with flow. It demands that you dance, run, keep moving forward; but the intensity is always channeled, it is never out of control.
The drive and flow of m.o.v.e was my ever-present background. I celebrated with it at my high points, and it kept me afloat at my low points.
Eventually I met my wife, and my life changed in many ways. I don't listen to nearly as much music. But I still love m.o.v.e and how they got me through that time.

I just started listening to move again out of the blue and I install thought of the forum. I had such great memories here and it’s a shame it’s not active like I used to be! If anyone sees this, I hope you remember me. I am now 33 years old, married and have a full time job that keeps me busy. Times have changed since I joined way back then but my love for move and also Globe has not changed.
I’ve since added all my move music to Apple Music and have been bumping to it more than ever.
Much love to all of you if you decide to come to this place again and see this!

TIL that there are two m.o.v.e songs released after they disbanded that I'd never heard before: 'Outsoar the Rainbow' and 'Days'. Drowning in nostalgia right now and had to come check this place out. And then I find out that yuri release a solo album...?!?! Wild. Wonder what motsu and t-kimura are up to these days...
I remember you, Furik! Glad to know there are still m.o.v.e fans out there rockin' it down after all these years. I'm 32 myself, and also have a full-time job that is wearing me the hell out. Adulthood hasn't been the best, but m.o.v.e has always helped me cope with life and that's true to this day.

I'm honestly shocked this forum is still up and running. I literally was listening to M-Flo today and randomly decided to check out some stuff from M.O.V.E and remembered this forum and tried to search it up and it's still here and alive. Also, I'm shocked I even have so many posts on here, never knew I posted so much here I mean, last post I made was in 2014 on here which was 10 years ago...crazy. But yeah, going back to topic, yeah still listen to them. I really listened a lot to the song at 42:35 minute mark. They made for the earthquake in 2011, but I have no idea what it's called or how to find it. Anybody have it? www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzcQXzNDcNg&t=2733sAs for Life Update, I'm now married, have a daughter. Still in Canada, still need to buy Champagne Flight concert DVD since I never did back in the day for some reason. Still love Initial D, still listen to M.O.V.E sometimes...not as often, but still enjoy there albums. Also nice to see Motsu being very active. Speaking of him, I actually listen to Mother Ninja a lot, still love that project a lot. Honestly, I think the only important thing left to get a update on is if Mystical Sand is still friends with Snare-chan who made the banner for her LOL.
