They've decided to market Lily as a Vocaloid character, starting the same day as anim.o.v.e 02's release.
[insert the info Variable already gave us here]
Product Summary: Lily is a Vocaloid made using Yuri's voice as the base. You can input lyrics and her synthesized voice can be used to create songs. If you're trying to create a song with female vocals, this can give your song a very special quality. Vocaloid 2 is a product of many years of research and development by YAMAHA.
Then there's a section about what Vocaloid (the program itself) actually is, which would be easier to get off of Wikipedia. /lazy and on her way to bed
Followed by the system requirements for running the program and a couple of phone numbers and email addresses that you can use to contact them with any questions about the product.
Cover art is official; time to pre-order! >D

Are you sure it's supposed to be Yuri's voice? That demo DID NOT sound like Yuri.

Are you sure it's supposed to be Yuri's voice? That demo DID NOT sound like Yuri. The sentence is pretty convoluted (as Japanese sentences often are) but I am 99% sure that the basic gist of it is that they used Yuri's voice for the base. They don't seem to go into any more detail than that, so I have no idea what other layers there are to the voice besides said "base". Like, if you want the entire (really bad) literal translation of that sentence, here it is: Vocaloid artist "VOCALOID2 Lily" is the music group "m.o.v.e"'s vocalist character, Lily, from the anime song cover album "anim.o.v.e 01" whose vocal sound source was created with Yuri's voice as the base. They use the English word "base" written in katakana, so there's no mistaking that part. But anyway, as far as I know, that's just a long and convoluted way of saying what I said before, which is simply that they used Yuri's voice for it. People in the comments for that YouTube video were speculating that the voice in the demo may not be the finished product. I myself don't really know a whole lot about Vocaloid, so I'm not sure how common or not it is for them to put out demos with the voices left unpolished, but in another video for the same demo, someone in the comments said that in their experience, the Vocaloid demos rarely do the voices justice, so who knows? For what it's worth, I agree that it doesn't much sound like her, but I think that's kind of the point of Vocaloid, isn't it? They had to use someone's voice for each of the characters, but it seems to me that if they made it sound too much like the singer's ACTUAL voice, you couldn't really make it your own. Or something like that. Personally, I'm waiting for Mosh to join Lily on the actual program. That'd be pretty amusing.

Gackt's Vocaloid sounds exactly like Gackt.
Gamble Rumble is set to be the next demo for Lily.

Maybe that's because Gackt is significantly more famous than Yuri? Seriously, I have no idea.

It says we can't see it because it's forbidden.

If you cut the url down to where it says "figure" and then just ctrl+f the "664" at the end of the image tag, it's the first thing ctrl+f finds.

They've got a clip of "itoshisa to setsunasa to kokoro tsuyosa to" from the Street Fighter II movie up on electropica itself. Then apparently they made a myspace page for the album, and if you go under the playlist section ( www.myspace.com/animove/music/playlists) you can listen to clips of that, along with "Monster Explosion", "Shangri-La", "REAL LOVE~tamashii ni hi wo tsukete~", and "Romancing Train feat. Lily -mintia mix-" from the new album. They also have a handful of clips from the first anim.o.v.e up there.

I've already listened the samples and they are full energetic, very fast 30 secons for an opinion, I'll have to wait for the full versions.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that in the picture they're listed as "Lily & Mosh"?

Am I the only one who finds it odd that in the picture they're listed as "Lily & Mosh"? Odd in what way? The Vocaloid-style characters in the drawings ARE named Lily and Mosh, according to the lyric booklet that came with anim.o.v.e 01... And that figure looks spectacular. <3
